Quick-Start

If you are unsure about where to start, then this is the page for you!

Many Career Counselling or Career Management services have a “programme” and insist that you follow their process – they “know best” after all!

However, my view is that life is not like that – it is not quite to rigid – so you need more flexibility.

So, if you have already identified a job that you want to apply for then proceed in the following sequence:

  1. Resumes and CVs;
  2. Covering Letters;
  3. Objectives;
  4. Self-assessment;
  5. Advertised Jobs;
  6. Networking;
  7. Direct Approaches.

Otherwise, if you do not already have a job that you need to apply for, the best sequence will be:

  1. Objectives;
  2. Self-assessment;
  3. Resumes and CVs;
  4. Covering Letters;
  5. Advertised Jobs;
  6. Networking;
  7. Direct Approaches.

Don’t worry, though, you can work through the sections in any sequence that you are comfortable with.  There is no fixed sequence.

If you have any question, then feel free to drop us an email.

Otherwise, simply click on the relevant section (across the top of the page) to get started…

Happy job hunting!!
